This song is largely about self medicating with drugs and alcohol to deal with pain, suffering, and depression. It's also about coping with loss, but not really knowing how to do so (aside from becoming intoxicated). The chorus taps on being in a toxic relationship, and not knowing what to do or how to end it. It was one of those situations where I didn't want to, but I knew that the relationship was unhealthy for both parties involved. Ultimately, I've felt this way a ton because I'm not where I want to be in really any way, and I have no idea what I'm doing. The future I thought was ahead of me is nowhere to be found. This song comes from those feelings of being lost, unsure of where to go or what to do next.
